Books play very important role in shaping up any human being.
What’s more interesting about book is you will gain someone’s years of expertise in few days or even few hours by reading few hundred pages.
I am pretty much interested to buy and read books and I don’t prefer to buy ebooks.
I am still reading all paper books. Only these books give me an impression of reading.
Book fair is an extrodinary opportunity to browse through hundreds of title at one single place.
Recently I visited the 41st book fair organized by bapasi yesterday.
There were around 700 plus publishers with thousands of title.
All the twelve days thousands of people visited the book fair and pick their area of choice.
Books for children, books for youngsters, books for professionals, books for women’s and so on. The list will go on and on and on.
I was amazed by the response from young people. The so-called elder people used to say, the current generation stop reading books and they are addicted to games and social media.
But I saw hundreds and hundreds of student, professionals, kids, parents, and even old peoples looking for books in the different genre. Reading habit is still living. So we need not worry about reading habit because the time will heal and change the people around us.
I usually buy books of foreign authors, but this time I changed my mind and bought five books in Tamil.
Books I bought from 41st Chennai Book fair 2018
- Albert Einstein – Biography (Rs.200)

I had a little conversation with popular author S.Ramakrishnan about the importance of food in real life, what could be avoided if we sensibly approach the food.
Absolutely, I had a wonderful time at the book fair, frankly speaking even one day is not enough to visit half of the stalls placed in Bookfair. So whenever you planning to go for any book fair, go with a simple plan like this in your mind,
- What are the books you would like to buy?
- What is your area of interest?
- How much would you like to spend?
- Check the price with other publishers and then go for purchasing decision, But it will cost your time and patience.
- Parking Charge: Rs. 15
- Snacks – Rs.30
- Book Cost: Rs.1170
